“Agia Sofia” Metro Station
Enhancement of the Archaeological site
In November 2024, the main line of the Thessaloniki Metro was inaugurated — the largest infrastructure project in the city’s modern history. At the new Thessaloniki Metro “Agia Sofia” Station, Polyptychon designed solutions for the lighting and presentation of the archaeological site, protective railings, and interpretive signage, ensuring the city’s ancient past is respectfully integrated into its modern infrastructure.
