Cavafy Exhibition
When poetry becomes space
Every work that can reveal even a small aspect of C.P. Cavafy’s poetry is, in essence, an attempt to approach beauty as a fundamental human value. Polyptychon had the honor of leading the production of this unique exhibition, where poems of C.P. Cavafy were displayed on the walls of the Byzantine Museum of Veria, accompanied by elements of interwar bedframes with varied patterns, photographic documents of the poet, original portraits, archival newspapers from the 1930s, and a 45-minute video that brought old Alexandria back to life. Our aim was to let Cavafy’s poetry remain central, while the surrounding elements deepened the visitor’s journey into his world.
