Stories and Myths from the Cave
Light in the dark: caves as living heritage.
Commissioned by the Ephorate of Palaeoanthropology–Speleology, this project explores the hidden world of Greek caves through an innovative and educational lens. Polyptychon created a comprehensive portal, an interactive atlas featuring around 500 caves, enriched with an interactive map, a timeline, and educational web games. Alongside the online experience, we produced a 15-minute documentary film and a portable “museum kit” with a specially designed board game, available for loan to Greek schools. By combining web apps, film, and hands-on learning, the project offers a holistic approach to education while also highlighting the connection between heritage interpretation and archaeological tourism.
