agiasofia.jpg

For the most pivotal project in the modern history of Thessaloniki, we were assigned by the contracting company and in collaboration with the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Thessaloniki, the study to highlight the antiquities found at the southern entrance of the Agia Sophia metro station.

The study carried out by Polyptychon includes: a proposal for the lighting and highlighting of the antiquities, a proposal for the design and placement of the metal railings of the archaeological site and a proposal for the design of signage with supervisory and informative material.
The study is being implemented by the Thessaloniki Metro, being the guide for other similar studies highlighting antiquities found in Metro stations and aiming to highlight archaeological finds that were revealed in this project of enormous importance for the city.
